• Gargoyles

Loved this doorway we found while walking to the IWM down south.

  • Mallard

Being the closet trainspotter that I am, this was always one of my favorite engines. The Mallard was the fastest ever steam loco at 126mph set in 1938, which is only slightly slower than the Inter City 125 which I fondly remember from traveling down to Devon as a child.

  • Mini hitchers meet

Adrian was in town so we met and ate. No idea what the place was called, but it served a roast on a pizza. Very odd but quite nice.

  • There are no unread items

    Says it all really. Bored.

  • Colour trim

This poor little thing has been sitting around finished but just plain tissue coloured for a few months, I’ve even flown it quite successfully albeit in slightly windier conditions than its meant for. I’ve now decided to add some colour to it. This is the first time I’ve added colour trim to a small model and its all a bit fiddly, satisfying though! As for the colour scheme, I’m shamlessly copying this scheme.

  • Beer Beach

This is a shot I took a while ago, back in May 2006 when we stopped off at Beer on the way home from Devon. It was shot in colour which you can see here, I’ve manually converted it to B&W using curves in Photoshop on various elements separately.

  • Finished

yay! Many thanks to the Lizard Landscapes guys we now have a garden. I just need to remember to water the grass twice a day, then buy a mower and some plants. Hmm. nearly there!

  • Apache Allow From IP or password

I can never remember the syntax to allow access to a directory from an IP or range of IP’s without a password but falling through to using a password from all other IP’s. The below works in a .htaccess file:

    AuthName "some name"
    AuthUserFile /some/htaccess.file
    AuthType Basic
    Order Allow,Deny
    Require valid-user
    Allow From 127.0.0.1
    Satisfy Any

  • Garden being sorted

We have finally got some people to come and sort the garden, Stephen and Ricky from Lizard Landscapes are spending nearly a week here ‘fixing’ it. Yay!

  • Dead Drill

Old tools never die, they just make lots of smoke and sparks. Sadly the time has come for this old thing to go.
