I’ve just noticed that for none of the big photos on the site, thumbs wern’t being loaded. So the browser was having to load the massive original image and then scale it down. Some of the original hires pictures are 10MB or so, this was having a huge impact on page load times. Fixed now!

Also that makes me think I ought to resize the really big photos, nobody needs a 10MB image for display on a screen. Another day perhaps :)
