What are the developers thinking when they write these error messages???
"Bah, that'll never happen. Why put any effort into the error message".
If that's the case, why catch it at all??
I also like the option to force too.
"I can't do this, but if you ask me again I will."
Love it.

Lol. Sorry, I don’t have anything witty to add. You are right, the "-tagsfromfile %f.jpg" is not required in this case.
Thanks again!

Thanks for the comment Phil, I’ve just had a play and a bit more of a read, now I understand the difference between what I had done and what you suggested. If not, just drop the "-tagsfromfile %f.jpg" entirely and exiftool will read IPTC:Headline from the target file.

Your command reads IPTC:Headline from the same-named file in the current directory. The next step is getting SSL LDAP to work, but for that I need to enable it on my AD, which is proving tricky, makes me realise how much I dont know about Windows !

Aha, I should have popped you a mail, oh well its all working now. Let me know when you get round to RHEL6, it uses "sssd" instead of krb5/pam/ldap. Different setup but I have it all working, except for properly enumerating auxillary groups but that's fixed in SSSD 1.2.2. I had to create my own RPM for that, Red Hat said the fix will come out in a future release though.

Nice guide dude, I could have also helped you with this.
